Everybody knows what an “unpleasant” experience that was. Hence I rattled on about my beef & why they had to put a douchebag in my section to ruin my experience. Their solution was to offer me the same seats or similar at any game I wish to see.

I said, “Sorry, I’m actually a Yankee fan but thanks anyway.”

Just when you think you’ve got a handle on things, they slip through like sand in between your fingers. Losing little by little. You tighten the grip but you know that what you have left is never going to be enough.

I don’t know the answer to this. I still don’t. Usually I’d say the last place where I stayed the longest & that’s Zurich, Switzerland.

And to most people, that’s enough of an answer. To me, it was never the right one.

She’s the closest person to Sara I’ll ever meet and I was glad to have finally met her.

At the Remington’s house in LA to return Chace safely to his family after two weeks of surfing in AU. He’s their new big brother now. I had to make sure he returns home in one piece.

I’m welcomed here today because their cunt of a mother isn’t home. Otherwise, she would be calling the popo for some bogus charge… that’s how much she despises me & I don’t really know why. Charles used to tell me, “just ignore her Rach because I do.”

Client said, “Rachel the outline says your report has 46 pages, I only see 23. Where are the rest?”

Who wouldn’t wake up (or stay awake) for this.

He’s such a brilliant kid. Smart, artistic, musically inclined, rebellious & stubbornat times. I may not be the best role model of a sister but I will be there for him. I will be good for him. I will do my best for him.

I only have one chance at this & I’m not going to fuck it up. I don’t expect him to welcome me completely or instantly. I only want him to know that I did my best.

Whenever he’s ready, so will I.

I would like to eat at at least 10 3-star Michelin restaurants. The restaurants which they dub as “worth the journey” & the price tag - & for me, the part where I have to dress up.

Already completed 2 out of 10. Both of which were in London. Gordon Ramsay’s & the Dorchester in Mayfair.

Alain Ducasse in NY wasn’t on the 2010 list but his restaurant in London is. That may be next and you too Thomas Keller.

Ana & I sat by Ezra’s side all night before his surgery early in the morning.

When the time came to wait, it must have been the longest 2 hours of my life but the payoff was everything I could ever hope for.

My brother & his girlfriend at the hospital. He says he’s ready.

I guess today is the day I choose to accept the fact that I have a brother that I care very much about. I’ve always referred to Ezra as the “half brother”. I could never accept him since I found out about his existence. There was a time when I wanted nothing to do with my mother & he was another thorn in my past.

Ezra was raised by my grandparents through most of his life. He’s a good kid & a bright one. Rebellious at times but he’s an amateur compared to his big sister. My grandparents asked me if I’d be willing to help him financially. I refused to at first but after a lot of debating within myself, I agreed to it. I only agreed to it because I owed it to my grandparents for raising me during the first six years of my life.

A few weeks ago, he was busted for DUI in Sydney. I swore to my grandparents I would never help him again if he continues to fuck up. But three days ago, I received an email from his long time girlfriend, Ana. She told me that Ezra has a golf ball size tumor in his chest and is in a lot of pain. Lately, he’d been drinking himself out of it & has been out of control. She also said that my brother is afraid and didn’t want to bother me for help. Afraid, she said and that’s where it hit me.

I haven’t seen him in many years. We’ve been in the same city many times but I refused to make a conscious effort to visit him or see how he’s doing. “Afraid” still echoes in my mind, I never wanted him to be afraid of me but I guess I made him that way.

I don’t have an immediate family anymore. He’s the closest blood relative I have left and I’m not about to let him go to waste. So tonight I will head over to Sydney to see my brother. I’m not even sure I will recognize him or if he will recognize me. He’s been admitted to the hospital for his surgery tomorrow. I’d like to be there for him, to see him well and be the sister he should have had a long time ago.

But only if he let’s me.

Back in the 90’s when they opened the first Dunkin Donuts franchise close to my place the Boston Cream one was my favorite, ever. I’d go there just to grab one of those with iced tea and be merry for the rest of the day. I LOVE Boston Cream. So here you are, this is not THE donut, BUT it’s boston cream… Pie!

Where is my loyalty? Truth is I have a scatter of favorite players from numerous teams. Sure I’ve been a Yanks fan since I engaged in a relationship, married & divorced a New Yorker but I enjoy the game not just the Yankees.

To watch guys like little Dustin Pedroia hit 3 homers in a single game? How can you not love the guy. To watch King Albert Pujols hit homers, a rookie like Jason Heyward dominate Atlanta, Strasberg throwing strikes, to watch Cliff Lee play for the wrong team.

In the name of sports gambling, I am a fan of baseball & the best team that money can buy.

It’s a very unfair world we live in. So suck it up.

Had I known that Chace is afraid of heights, I could have picked a 12 storey building next door for us to stay in. Though he is managing quite well… as long as he stays a few comfortable feet away from the windows.
